we have a MISSION

To recognize and react to child abuse and educate the public to do the same; to serve as advocates to provide strength and stability to families in crisis; and be an answer to the prayer of an abused child or teen for courage, support and protection.

we have A
HISTORY

The Gastonia Chapter was established in November 2010 by a dedicated group of individuals who saw the need to educate and assist our community regarding the effects of child abuse.

As a body of bikers, we help empower children to be courageous, and to face their abusers.

Members of the GOC are charged with using their skills and resources to aid victims of child abuse and neglect. Eventually, they become part of the lives of the families they take under their wing.

As members, we are concerned about school, friends, the home, and other aspects of their lives.

We hold monthly events such as kids days, fundraisers, and holiday gatherings.

We visit local youth shelters, feed and socialize with residents and staff.

We accompany parents to meetings with lawyers, doctors, and court appearances

We surround affected children and family with love and support.

We show them that
people care.

WE ARE PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, AUNTS, UNCLES, BROTHERS AND SISTERS.
Some are abuse survivors themselves.

We ride our iron horses
to spread the word.

STOP CHILD ABUSE NOW.

We have taken an oath,
and will enforce the mission
of the Guardians of the Children.

TRUTH, VALOR, AND INTEGRITY.

MEET OUR DEDICATED GUARDIANS

"PAPPY" - president

I joined the GOC after a good friend told me what they did. I have witnessed what happens to an abused child as they try to navigate through the emotional destruction abuse causes.

I never want another child to feel unloved, unwanted or tarnished. I thought I was gonna give a little and feel good for my gestures. However, the first time one of our children looked at me and smiled, I was done. I think that I need their smiles and love as much as they need mine. I just hope that one day the love from us overrides the trauma from their perpetrator. Our job is to bring them from victim to victor no matter the cost!

These kids are worth it.

"Tank" - Vice President

I joined the GOC back in June of 2021. Through all the highs, and all the lows, I still say the long days and hours spent are worth it all when we get to watch these kids enjoy being kids. These kids don't have to worry about someone hurting them or someone being mean to them when they are with us. The joy they express because they feel safe is precious to see. This world is a sick and evil place, and I thank God that I have the chance to make a difference in an abused child's life. The goal is to one day no longer need organizations like us, but until that day we will fight for these kids, and we will help them overcome the evil they have been through.

When a child calls... We ride!

"BUBBA" - Sergeant of Arms

I joined the GOC after talking to some other members and finding out what they really did. I felt it in my heart to try my best to help as many children as I possibly could. My sister was abused mentally and physically by her ex-husband and I couldn't do anything about it.

God laid this great group in front of me and I feel like it's a calling for me to do my part.

"Puzzler" - Secretary & Child Liaison

For me the GOC means a safe family. I suffered abuse as a child and teenager. I never spoke up because I believed it was my fault. I joined the GOC to help these children understand that it is NOT their fault! If I can help at least one of them understand this and not live a life feeling guilty, shameful, and bad about herself then I will have succeeded in our mission.

Every child should know that she or he is loved and I want to show her that truth and help her believe!

I joined the GOC to help these children and teens have their voices heard and bring justice to those who have harmed them. My wife is a preschool teacher and the things I hear that some of these kids have told her throughout her career is so sad. This made me want to be a part of something that can help the kids.

We're here to protect those that can't protect themselves.
